Parent Communication

Parent Communication at Chapter House

Never miss a moment of your child’s education at Chapter House.

At Chapter House we work closely with families to ignite every child’s love of learning. Regular parent communication ensures lessons can build on your child’s interest in a subject. Throughout the year, there are multiple chances for you to speak to class teachers, burst with pride at school performances, and become a part of the school’s community.

Stay Updated Every Step of The Way

Every half-term, you will be updated on your child’s progress, whether through progress reports or a parent meeting.

Parent meetings provide an invaluable opportunity for face-to-face discussion between you and the teaching staff. You can ask questions, share concerns, and gain insights into your child’s academic and personal development.

In addition, you will receive multiple progress reports that outline your child’s subject strengths and areas for improvement. These reports are a snapshot of your child’s performance to indicate which subjects they may need more support with, or where they are excelling.

If your child is in Early Years, you will have access to Tapestry, an online journal for teachers to share pictures and daily updates of your child’s learning.

Learning Beyond The Classroom

Parents play a crucial role in their child’s education, and this extends beyond the classroom. You are encouraged to support your child with homework, to listen to your child read, and to communicate with the class teacher through your child’s school planner.

With your help, we can teach your child the importance of education by providing a personalised learning programme that leans towards their love of a subject. Curiosity is always at the forefront of Chapter House teacher’s lesson planning, and we always want to hear about special learning moments you have with your child outside of school.

For example, if you have visited a zoo and your child is now obsessed with monkeys, let us know! The class teacher can adapt their topic lesson on the rainforest to focus on primates to spark your child’s love for learning.
